Valentine Glitter Heart Cards #2
February 8th 2009 07:16
Here are three more cards, which are variations on the Valentine Glitter Heart Card.
The instructions for making the glitter hearts is here and the instructions for making a card with a window in the front are here.
This card used a smaller heart, so the window and the backing piece of card are also smaller. Use the same method with graph paper as used for the previous card, and purple background card instead of a pink. Instead of measuring in 37mm from each border of the graph paper, I measured in 42mm.
This card is very similar to the one above.
Before the heart was adhered into the central square, a scrap of square paper was used to cover the central square and a furthur 1cm border around the central square.
The dragonfly was then stamped randomly over the card using dark blue ink, and embossed using clear embossing enamel. (The stamp was: Small Dragonfly 1760C by STAMP-IT). Blue and purple chalk were then rubbed softly over the area.
The mask was then removed and the small heart adhered into the centre.
The card used a larger heart, and therefore a larger window needed to be cut from the card front. Instead of measuring in 37mm from each border of the graph paper, I measured in 23mm. Silver microbeads and star sequins were used as well as beads when making the Glitter Heart.
