FLYING FAIRY
Method:
1.Cut a piece of Limeade card 210mm x 150mm. Score and fold in half to make a card.
2.Cut a piece of Giggle paper 30mm x 20mm for the dress. Mark at 8mm and 12mm on a short side. Cut from these points to the corners of the opposite side to make the dress. Adhere the dress into the centre of the card. Use the photo to help with all placements.
3.Stamp the butterfly onto the vellum using Platinum Planet ink. Dry with heat tool and cut out the wings of the butterfly. Fold in half, and adhere to the fairies back using DSST.
4.Cut a small circle 15mm diameter from foxy card. Draw on the eyes, nose and mouth using the zig black marker. Colour in cheeks using the pink texta. Adhere the head in place.
5.Wind the embroidery cotton around three of your fingers about six times. Tie a piece of cotton around the middle, and then trim both ends to approx 25mm length. Adhere to the card using DSST or glue.
6.Draw in the arms and legs, as shown, using the orange texta.
7.Cut a piece of Petunia card 120mm x 85mm. Stamp with flower stamp using Platinum Planet ink. Lightly sponge the edges with ink. Set the ink with the heat tool. Tear out the centre of the card (make sure the fairy will fit within the hole you have made) and insert a jewel brad into each corner.
8.Cut a piece of Apricot card 130mm x 93mm. Mark around the edges with the punch wheel. Cut out the centre leaving a border of 15mm around the edge. Layer the Petunia card over the Apricot card.
9.Attach this to the card using foam mounting tape.
FRONT FACING FAIRY
Method:
1.Cut a piece of Petunia card to 210mm x 150mm. Score and fold in half to make a card.
2.Cut 3 strips of Limeade card 10mm wide and lengths 80mm, 90mm and 100mm. Insert flower brads in the ends and secure onto the folded card.. Use the photo to help with all placements.
3.Cut a piece of Apricot card to 58mm x 150mm. Mark around the edge with the punch wheel. Cut two vertical slits in the base, 55mm long, starting 5mm from the base and each 6mm in from the edges.
4.Cut a piece of Limeade card 92mm x 60mm. Stamp with the flower stamp using the Platinum Planet ink. Set with the heat tool. Tear approx 10mm off the top of the card. Thread the card through slits in the Apricot card, and secure in place with tape on the back. Insert flower brads down each side of the Limeade card. Attach this onto the folded card.
5.Cut another piece of apricot card 32mm x 32mm. Mark around the edge with the punch wheel. Punch a flower from the Giggle paper with the circle punch, then cut a circle from the limeade paper with the ShapeCutter using the 1.00” hole on the circles template. Adhere the flower onto the green circle, and then attach this to the apricot square using foam mounting tape.
6.Cut a piece of Limeade paper 52mm x 72mm. Mark around the edge with the punch wheel. Following the instructions for “Flying Fairy” make the wings, dress, face and hair for the fairy. Assemble the fairy (as shown in the photo) onto the Limeade paper. Using the Orange embossing marker, draw in the arms and legs, and emboss with clear embossing enamel.
BUTTERFLIES
Method:
1.Cut French Vanilla card to 210mm x 150mm. Score it down the middle and fold in half, to make a folded card.
2.Cut Apricot card to 90mm x 140mm. Insert six flower brads down the left hand side. Cut a strip of Giggle paper 20mm x 150mm. Adhere it to the right hand side of the Apricot card, folding the edges around the card. Secure this onto the folded card.
3.Attach a piece of Limeade card 13mm x 150mm over the Apricot card.
4.Mark the edges of a piece of Petunia card 50mm x 120mm with the punch wheel. Secure this onto the card.
5.Stamp the butterfly twice onto the vellum, and twice again onto Petunia card, using Platinum Planet ink. Set the ink with a heat tool. Cut out the butterfly images, without the feelers, using scissors. Adhere the vellum butterflies onto the card butterflies using a thin piece of DSST under the butterflies body. Bend the vellum wings upwards. Cut two pieces of wire and shape them into feelers. Secure them behind the butterflies, and then attach the butterflies onto the card.
