Split Coast Stampers recently posted a tutorial on stippling. See their tutorial on Stipple Basics here.
Once you have the basics of stippling, you can start to create.
This is my creation...
Materials Required
1. Card: Bazzill Blackberry, French Vanilla, and a medium blue colour; Flat white
2. Stamps: Stampin Up Petal Prints - set of 7
3. Inks: ColorBox Smoke Blue, Lavendar, Cerulean; Versamark watermark stamp pad
4. Embossing enamel: Clear
5. Cutting Tool: Paper Trimmer
6. Embellishments: Kaiser Clear Rhinestones, Blue grosgrain ribbon - 6mm wide
7. Adhesives: Double Sided Sticky Tape (DSST)
8. Other Tools: Stipple Brushes; Sponge
Instructions
1. Stamp the background flower stamp onto flat white card 58mm x 88mm using versamark watercolour ink pad. Emboss with clear emboxxing enamel.
2. Stipple the background using the Colorbox Smoke Blue, Lavendar and Cerulean as per instructions for stippling on the Split Coast Stampers Website.
3. Frame your stippled image with Blackberry card, leaving a 1-2mm border around the edges.
4. Cut a piece of French Vanilla Card 150mm x 110mm. Tear across the bottom. Ink the edges with the sponge using Smokle Blue ink. Stamp the matching flower stamp randommly over it.
5. Cut a piece of the medium blue card 150mm x 120mm. Tear across the bottom. Layer the French Vanilla card onto this using DSST. Then wrap the blue ribbon around both, tying a bow at the front and securing it with DSST.
6. Cut a base card from Blackberry Card 150mm x 300mm, score and fold in half. Attach the above pieces onto it with DSST, using the photo as a guide to placement.
7. Embellish with 6 rhinestones, positioned as shown in the photo.
IDEA
Add a sentiment such as "Happy Mothers Day", "Thanks:" or "Happy Birthday"
