Punched Flowers Card

This card is bright with lots of bling, and with an interesting twist for ribbon.

Materials Required

1. Card: Bazzill Dark and light purple, white
2. Stamps: Happy Birthday Stamp from Stampin Up Birthday Whimsy set
3. Inks: Color Box Pigment Inks Violet and Lilac
4. Punches: Carl CP-2 Sakura and CP-1 Sakura, Stampin Up Horizontal Slot
5. Embellishments: Light pink 12mm ribbon; collection of Rhinestones
6. Cutting tools: Paper trimmer
7. Adhesives: White craft glue, Double sided sticky tape (DSST) and foam mounting tape.
8. Paper: Small scrap pieces in different shades of purple

Instructions

1. Fold a piece of dark purple card 210mm x 150mm in half to form the base card.

2. Cut two strips of light purple card 105mm x 20mm. Use the horizontal slot punch to create a seris of 4 holes along each for the ribbon to thread through.
On the top strip the left hand side of the hole slots are at 22mm, 42mm, 62mm and 82mm.
On the bottom strip the left hand side of the hole slots are at 12mm, 32mm, 52mm and 72mm.

3. Thread the ribbon through, as shown, attaching it behind the strip of card at the top, right most slot using DSST. Position the two strips of card onto the base card, and use DSST to attach.
Hint: Put the DSST on the upper half of the strip for the top and the lower half of the strip for the bottom, so that once attached to the base card, you can move and arrange the ribbon neatly by pulling it through the slots.

4. Cut the loose end of the ribbon that has come through the left hand hole on the lower strip to a point, and attach it to the card using DSST.

5. Punch flower shapes from the scrap paper pieces and arrange them onto the base card. Attach using the white craft glue.

6. Attach matching rhinestones to the centre of the flowers using the white craft glue. Attach small flower rhinestones directly onto the card.

7. Stamp Happy Birthday using the two different inks randomly over a small piece of white card 77mm x 30mm, using secondary impression images. Stamp one happy Birthday in the centre using Viiolet ink and a first impression image. Sponge Violet ink around the edges and Lilac ink over the piece of card. Attach to the card using foam mounting tape.
