Print Your Own Card (2)
This is a series of Print your own cards.
Each card is hand drawn and has a unique design.
Instructions:
1. Print out the card onto quality white card.
200g or greater card is recommended.
Printing Instructions:
Once the image has opened, click on "file" in the main menu, then scroll down and click on "print preview"
You can check the margins and positioning of the picture on your printed card, and change them if you desire, before printing with this option.
When you are ready, click the printer symbol.
2. Trim the card to the right size.
Place the print out on a cutting mat.
Trim across the top side of the card leaving your desired margin (I suggest 0.5cm).
Note that these instructions are the same for all the cards in this series. The card used to demonstrate how to do this may not be same image as the card you are making. The method and principles are the same though.
Then trim each side of the card to the same margins.
Measure the distance from the top edge of the card to where the card will fold. (For this card my measurement was 11.7cm) Make sure you include your margin in the measurement. Put a mark at the fold point. This will be where you draw a score line later.
Double your measurement (For this card that was 23.4cm) and mark this point also. This measurement shows where you have to trim the card to make it the correct size.
Cut the card to size.
Score the card at the position already marked, and fold the card in half.
The card is finished
