2. Colour in the frog and Pond scene. Then cut the paper in half above the pond scene to create your card and inside image on different pieces Fold the piece of cardboard with the pond scene in half, creating your card.

3. Using a pin, needle or other sharp pointed object, make pin holes in the places on the frog image indicated below (ie. the dot below the chin, where the sides of the mouth meet the outside line, and the bump on the face between the eyes.)
Small lines have been drawn crossing the darker lines to indicate where to place your holes.

4. Pierce holes at the two points on the border around the frog as indicated below.

5. Turn the frog picture over. Using a pencil and ruler draw the cross and diamond created by the pin holes. (see picture below - I have put a small pencil cross over each of the pin holes so you can see their position)

6. Fold the card down the vertical line (This symmetrically folds the frog in half on the other side). Using scissors, cut along the horizontal line you marked cutting from the folded edge into the card to the edge of the diamond. This cut will be approximately 2.5cm long. I have placed a protracter through the cut so you can see where it is in the photo.

7. Fold the card from the cut, with the fold line running along the lines that formed the diamond (see picture below).

8. Open out the card, and using the folded lines as a guide, push through the folded card to form the frogs mouth.

9. Turn the card over.

10. Trim the frog picture to the size of the drawn border. Place it inside your card (with the pond picture) to work out where you will need to paste the red paper that will be behind the mouth of the frog.

11. Paste the red paper onto the inside of your card, (where you determined it should be placed). Use double-sided tape or glue.

12. Use double-sided tape (recommended) or glue to paste the frog into the centre of your card. It is best to do this one side at a time, making sure that the frog is fitted snugly into your card.

13. Open and shut the card to see your frog croak!!

A beautiful card for Mum this Mother's Day. There are three hearts rising 3D from the front of the card. The words inside read:

Thank you, Mum,
for all that you do.
There is no-one else,
in the world like you.

All that you do,
I really appreciate,
and I just want to say
that you are GREAT!!

Rising Hearts Mother's Day Card

Materials Required

1. Two A4 pieces of light card, different colours (I used blue and red)
2. Glitter glue
3. Four small gold brads (paper fasteners) OPTIONAL
4. Paper trimmer (preferred) or scissors.
5. Double-sided mounting foam

Instructions

1. Print out the templates below onto the coloured card.

2. Fold the Blue Card (with the card template printed onto it) in half to make a A5 size. Use the upper border of the dark rectangle surrounding the hearts as your guide. There should be approximately 2 mm of colour showing above this border. You can trim the edges of the card later if necessay.

3. Fold the card in half again, to card size. Make sure that you use the left hand side of the dark rectangle surrounding the hearts as your guide. There should be approximately 2 mm of colour showing to the left of this border. You can trim the edges of the card later if necessay.

4. Trim the right hand side and base of the card to size, so that there is approximately 2mm of colour showing around the outside of the dark rectangle.
Hint - A paper trimmer will give you a nice straight edge. If using scissors it may help to rule a pencil line before cutting to get a straighter edge.

5. Open up the card again. If you would like to use brads (decorative paper fasteners), insert them into the corners of the dark rectangle. I used plain gold circular brads.

Card folded, trimmed, and brads inserted.

6. Cut out the three hearts. Paste one flowery heart over the top heart on the card.

7. Place double-sided mounting foam on the back of the plain heart, and stick it onto the card over the middle heart. It will overlap onto the top heart.

8. Place double-sided tape over the back of the last heart, then add a second layer of double-sided tape everywhere except the upper left hand area of the heart. [This is where the heart will overlap onto the middle heart which already has one layer of tape thickness under it.] Stick the heart down over the third heart on the card. It will overlap onto the middle heart.

9. Decorate with glitter glue.

4. Glue the loose pieces of the woven hearts together, and if necessary trim the edges of the hearts. Turn them over so the black markings are hidden. Fold the Heart Card in half.

5. Glue on woven heart onto the front of the heart card, and the other onto the back of your card. Embellish your card to suit your taste. I used glitter glue and jewels to brighten up my card.
