Kids Craft - Finger Balancing Butterfly
Materials Required:
1. Printer
2. Paper
3. Colouring pens or pencils
4. 2 metal washers per butterfly. Make sure they are small enough to fit inside the top parts of the wings of your chosen butterfly.
5. Scissors
Instructions:
1. Print out one of the templates below. You can have either one large or multiple smaller butterflies.
Printing Instructions:
Click on the template above which you prefer.
Once the image has opened, click on "file" in the main menu, then scroll down and click on "print"
OR
Click on the template above.
Once the image has opened, click on "file" in the main menu, then scroll down and click on "print preview"
You can check the margins and positioning of the picture on your printed paper, and change them if you desire, before printing with this option.
When you are ready, click the printer symbol.
2. Cut out the printed butterfly/butterflies
3. Colour in the butterfly using pencils or pens. If you are using pens, be mindful not to make the paper too moist as this will weaken the paper and make it more likely to tear.
4. Tape the washers to the butterfly wings, in the position as shown.
5. The butterfly should now balance nicely on the tip of your finger.
