2. Cut around the border of the template.
3. Turn the card over, and decorate it as desired. Cut out the shaded areas from the template (see below photos for guidance).
4. Turn the card over to the printed side. Score all the lines with the embossing tool. Then make cuts on the lines forming the bottom flaps and the small fold down flap (see photo below for guidance). Punch out the two holes on the top flap.
5. Fold the small flap backward, as per photo, and punch the two marked holes with the hole punch. The holes should go through both layers of card.
6. Turn the card over again, and put DSST on the side flap (as shown below), flip the card over again, and put DSST on the bottom right hand side flap as shown.
7. Stick the side flap under the side of the box, and adhere, as shown below. Then stick down the bottom flap, as shown below.
8. Pinch the sides of the box together, as shown below. They should crease along the lines you scored earlier.
9. Ribbon can be inserted from inside the box, as shown below, and the top flap will fold down and be kept in place by the bow.
10. Decorate your box as desired.
Flowers and Dragonflys
For this box, I punched out flower and dragonfly shapes in green and purple paper. I used a strip of flower paper 1.5cm wide across the bottom of the bottom flap, and then used a corner rounding punch on the two corners. I cut another square of the same paper 6cm x 6cm. Rounded it's corners as well, and adhered that to the box. Then I randomly placed the punched shapes over the box.
Stamped Flower
For this box I used the stampin up set "two step stampin PETAL PRINTS".
I randomly stamped the leaf pattern over the light purple card at the beginning. I stamped the two step flower onto white card, cut it out to 5.3cm x 5.3cm and rounded the corners with a corner punch. I cut out a contrasting blue square 6cm x 6cm and again rounded it's corners. I stuck the flower inage onto the blue square. Using the same colour blue paper, I adhered a strip 1.5cm wide along the bottom of the top flap, and then rounded the corners with the corner punch. Matching blue ribbon was used.
