Simple Embossed Christmas Cards
These Christmas cards are easy to make, but effective and striking to see.
You need to have a Sizzix Big Shot or other compatible machine to emboss the paper. If you don't have one, just make the card without the embossing step.
Materials Required:
1. Sizzix Big Shot (or other compatible) machine
2. Sizzix Embossing folder: I used Jim Holtz Alterations Texture Fades set 656648 (Damaks & Regal Flourishes Set)
3. Paper Trimmer
4. Double Sided Sticky Tape (DSST)
5.Card: S.e.i. - Apline Frost - cider 8-2510; black; white
6. Paper: Graphic 45 -Christmas Past Collection -We wish you a Merry Christmas #4500138
7. Gold ink pad
8. Ruler, Pencil and Rubber
Instructions:
1. Cut your papers and card.
White Card: Cut a piece 15cm x 21 cm, folded in half to make a base card.
Black Card: Cut two pieces: 10.5cm x 6.5cm and 12.5 x 8.5cm
Red Card: Cut a piece 12.0cm x 8.0cm
Christmas Paper: Cut a piece 10.3 x 6.0cm (I used the markings on the paper as a guide).
2. Emboss the christmas paper using the embossing folder (Regal Flourishes) and Big Shot Machine.
3. Using the gold ink, highlight some areas of the raised embossing.
4. Layer the pieces on top of one another as shown, adhering them using the DSST.
5. Adhere the assembled pieces onto the card base.
