Mother's Day Card - Free Colouring in Kids Craft

May 4th 2008 06:21
A very simple card made from a piece of folded A4 card. Colour it your Mum's favourite colours, and decorate it if you wish. You can change it's look so easily, two different examples are given below. The words inside the card are:

Thank you, Mum,
for all that you do.
There is no-one else,
in the world like you.

All that you do,
i really appreciate,
and I just want to say
that you are GREAT!!

Materials Required

1. Piece of light A4 Card (I used white).
2. Colouring tools eg. Textas, pencils, paints, crayons, gel pens.
3. Any desired embellishments eg. Glitter glue, brads (paper fasteners).

Instructions

1. Print off the template below onto light A4 card.

2. Colour in the card.
Hint - If you use lighter coloured textas, the black patterns will be seen clearly through the texta,
I used a silver gel pen to add highlights to my cards.

3. If you would like to use brads (decorative paper fasteners), now if the time to add them to your card. The example card above has a square silver brad placed in each corner of the card front.

5. Fold the card in half (so that you have an A5 size), and then in half again, making sure that the hearts come onto the front of the card, and the message inside the card. Depending on your printer, you may need to fold the card so as to center your heart image on the front, and then trim the edges slightly as required.

6. Finish off your card - add further embellishments such as glitter glue or stickers, and any further colouring you desire.
