Christmas Cards - Using Rub Ons
November 10th 2008 11:30
Here are some more Christmas Cards ideas. - These cards are decorated using Christmas Rub-ons by kaiser Craft.
Rub-ons are a really easy and simple way to make a plain card look great.
I recently brought some new jeans and loved the labels that came with them. I trimmed them to size, sanded them (with sandpaper) for a worn look, and decorated them with Rub-ons. Then I used them to make Christmas Cards.
This card has the edges sponged with black ink.
For this card I used black card with a white core. I sanded it, allowing some of the inner white to show through, matching it to the look of the sanded tag. I also sponged the edges with dark brown ink to match the brown colours in the tag.
This card is similar to the first, but here I again used some of the black card with the white core so that when sanded the centre colour shows through.
This card uses dark black card, and I have sponged the edges of the cream piece of card with black ink to help it blend to the base card. I also used a black brad to tie the tag's string around for extra decoration.
This card uses torn pieces of brown card as the backing for the tag. The black base card is sponged with white and brown ink. The cream rectangle the tag is layered onto has been sponged with brown ink
This card uses three pre-made present embellishments, Rub-ons and some white ink sponged around the edges of the card.
This card was decorated using pieces of torn card, a Christmas Rub-on and 3 kaiser self-adhesive rhinestones.
