Card Handbag - Free Craft instructions
September 20th 2008 09:24
This small card handbag is great for giving small presents, and can be decorated in the colours and style of your choice.
Materials Required
1. 2 pieces of A4 card in different colours of your choice (I used pink and purple)
2. Double sided sticky tape (DSST)
3. Craft cutter and scissors
4. Embellishments of your choice (I used punches, sticky backed rhinestones and a piece of ribbon)
5. Ruler
6. Scoring tool (use a metal tipped biro if you have nothing else)
Instructions
1. Print out the two templates below onto the BACK of the two pieces of card (one template per card)
Printing Instructions
Click on the image below to bring up the full-size image.
Choose "file", and click on "print preview"
Click on the printer symbol to start printing
2. Cut out the bag body and handle templates. Score along all the fold lines. Turn them over then put DSST on the flaps (see photo's below for help).
Hint - If you wish to stamp images on the bag, now is the best time to do this.
3. Turn the pieces over again (so you can see the printed lines - the DSST will be on the other side) and attach the handles, as shown. Then fold the bag sides up and secure them in place.
4. Squeeze the sides the bag gently, creasing them on the pre-scored lines.
5. Decorate the bag
I used a punch by Carl (CP-1 Daisy), a standard stationary hole punch for the flower centres, Self adhesive rhinestones by Kaiserscrapbook, and a piece of purple-blue ribbon.
