Embossed Bead CardsNovember 5th 2008 03:35
The tile that is central in this card was made by covering the tile with double-sided sticking paper, and then adhering a bead pattern to the tile. (Note - glass heat resistant beads are required). Silver embossing powder was then sprinkled over the tile, adhering to the areas of the sticky paper that were not covered with beads. The excess was shaken off and the embossing powder was heat set. While it was still hot and melted, Clear UTEE (Ultra thick embossing enamel - equivalent is Opals "Franklin" embossing enamel) was poured over the tile. The excess shaken off and then this was again heat set. The process of adding the UTEE to the hot, melted embossing enamel was repeated a furthur two times. This firmly set the beads onto the tile in a clear enamel surface
